Terms of Service

Higxel helps you scan receipts, create and organize expenses, manage categories and groups, track budgets, create recurring expenses, and view history and insights.

Higxel also lets you create financial-account records, link expenses and income to them, track dated or recurring income, calculate account balances and net worth, record transfers between tracked accounts, and keep monthly account history. You may also export expense history, sync supported expenses to Google Sheets, use optional expense suggestions from supported notifications, and create Expense Automation rules for eligible suggestions.

You may start with a device-linked guest profile instead of Google sign-in. Guest mode currently includes five receipt scans per calendar month. Other anti-abuse limits, including a shared device allowance across guest and signed-in profiles, may also apply. Higxel shows the applicable allowance in the app.

Features may vary by app version, device, region, sign-in state, permissions, connected services and service availability.

Your records drive the results

Balances, income totals, assets, debt, net worth, budgets, monthly snapshots and insights are calculated from the information available to Higxel. Missing, duplicate, scheduled, informational, manually edited or backdated records can change what the app displays.

Imported records need checking

Import Data supports selected financial records from compatible CSV, XLSX and JSON exports; it is not a complete backup restore or a connection to the other app. Higxel may use AI to suggest the header and column matches from the first five parsed rows and to match unmatched imported category names to categories you already use, while the full file remains on your device. Only import files you have the right to use. Keep your original copy and check the column matches, categories, dates, amounts, accounts, record counts and warnings before confirming.

Formats and duplicate detection are not perfect. Some rows may be skipped, and receipt images, attachments and transfer records are not imported. Imported transactions can change tracked balances and historical totals. Check the saved result and account balances, especially if your starting balance already includes those transactions. Import does not convert currencies.

Recurring, scheduled and automatic records need review

Creating recurring income or expenses does not move money or confirm that a real-world payment happened. An Expense Automation rule can also create a record from a matching payment alert without asking you each time. You are responsible for checking whether a transaction occurred, whether the alert matched correctly, and whether the record should affect your totals.

AI results require review

Receipt extraction, import column matching, categories, groups and expense suggestions can be incomplete, delayed or inaccurate. Review import mappings, merchant names, dates, accounts, line items and amounts before relying on them.

Higxel is not financial, accounting, tax, investment, legal or other professional advice. Do not rely on it as the only source for tax filings, audits, reimbursements, lending decisions or legally important records.

A Higxel profile is different from the financial accounts you track inside the app. Guest mode uses a pseudonymous device-derived identifier to create and return to a guest profile without receiving your Google name or email address. Guest records remain separate from Google-signed-in records and are not automatically moved or merged when you sign in.

Guest access is designed for the same compatible device. Changing devices, resetting the device, or technical changes to Android identifiers or app signing may make an earlier guest profile unavailable. Google sign-in is required for cross-device account access, Google Sheets sync, Expense Suggestions and other features identified in the app.

Exiting guest mode or uninstalling Higxel does not necessarily delete guest data. Signed-in users may use Delete account in Settings; guest users may contact support to request deletion. You are responsible for keeping your device and Google account secure and for using your own sign-in. Contact support if you believe your Higxel data or device has been compromised.

You choose whether to enable optional permissions and connected services.

Third-party services have their own terms and may change, fail, limit access or revoke permissions. Higxel is not responsible for services it does not control.

You are responsible for the information you enter, review, save, export or sync. You agree not to:

• use Higxel for unlawful, harmful, deceptive or abusive activity;
• upload content you do not have the right to process;
• create misleading records or fraudulent claims;
• bypass authentication, security, rate limits or access controls;
• interfere with Higxel, connected services or other users; or
• reverse engineer or scrape Higxel except where the law allows it.

Higxel may change, suspend, remove or limit features. The service may also be interrupted by maintenance, bugs, network issues, device settings, cloud outages or third-party failures. You may need to install updates for security, compatibility or continued access.

Higxel is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, Higxel disclaims warranties of accuracy, reliability, uninterrupted availability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Higxel will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, inaccurate records, missed payments or reimbursements, tax consequences, or reliance on AI-generated or calculated results.

Some laws do not allow certain exclusions or limits. In those places, these terms apply only to the maximum extent permitted.
